There has been a rising trend in recent years for students in Hong Kong to further their studies abroad. The mission and objective of CCCEA has always been to foster educational exchange between Hong Kong and Canada. Through organizing excursions and research tours for school principals and students to Canada, we foster educational co-operation between Hong Kong and Canada, and give future generations the framework to prosper as global citizens.

CCCEA along with The Association of Hong Kong Chinese Middle Schools (HKCMS) organized the “Canada Higher Education Research Trip” during the period from September 26 to October 5, 2014. A group of eleven Hong Kong secondary school principals and supervisors visited more than ten Canadian universities and colleges, including the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, McMaster University and Western University. The trip aimed to enhance the delegates’ understanding of the Canadian tertiary education system, as well as the credit transfer system and admission requirements. As a result, principal delegates signed memorandum of understandings (MOU) with four universities and colleges, strengthening the educational co-operation between Hong Kong and Canada.

During the period from April 29 to May 7, 2016, CCCEA along with Hong Kong Direct Subsidy Scheme Schools Council organized the “Canada Educational Trip”. A group of 21 school principals and teachers visited 8 Canadian universities, colleges and secondary schools, including University of British Columbia, University of Victoria, Crofton House School and St. George’s School. The Council also signed memorandum of understandings (MOU) with Royal Roads University and Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), with a view to strengthening the bilateral relations that would benefit the Hong Kong students interested in furthering their studies in Canada.
