Since 2014, CCCEA has been organizing “STEP – Canada Culture and English Summer Camp” in collaboration with Thompson Rivers University. This summer camp has received overwhelmingly positive feedback. There has been over 1,500 participants from local schools in Hong Kong attending this camp.
Each summer camp session lasts for 2 weeks. Besides English lessons, students have the opportunity to participate in various outdoor activities like kayaking, horseback riding, and U-pick. Students are assigned to stay with a host family, which gives them the opportunity to fully immerse in an English speaking environment and local life.

Features:

Native English Environment: Located in Kamloops, TRU is the 4th largest university in British Columbia. The beautiful, safe and friendly community is a perfect place to learn English.

Homestay Family: Students will be arranged to stay with homestay families to fully immerse into an English speaking environment and local life. Homestay families are screened and monitored by the university to ensure a safe and comfortable living conditions for students.

Small Class Teaching: Each Certified Instructor will teach a maximum of 20 students, which encourages the interaction with students.

University Experience: Students will stay at university residence to experience university life during their stay in Vancouver.

Student Leadership Training: “Student Leadership Training Camp” is tailored for outstanding student leaders recommended and selected by school principals. The camp covers topics on financial management, communication skills and theme research plan. Students will have to cook and taste their own signature dishes!
