CCCEA organizes English summer/winter camps every year in Canada, Hong Kong and Guangzhou respectively. It aims to create English learning environment for participants, help improve their English listening and speaking skills, and promote the spirit of cooperation and Canadian culture to them.

Aims of Summer/Winter Camps:

  1. Experiencing Canadian culture and education in a safe environment

  2. Enhancing students’ confidence, leadership skills and the ability to express in an English speaking environment

  3. Fostering students’ team spirit through group learning activities

  4. Enriching students’ learning experiences by making new friends

You may now experience Canadian culture in Hong Kong! The association has organized “Canadian Culture and English Summer Camp” with York Region District School Board, Ontario since 2010. More than 100 Canadian volunteer teachers and 20 teaching assistants have come to Hong Kong to lead the camp in the past three years. With the support of organizations like Partners Education Foundation, Hong Kong China Education Fund, UNICEF, Hong Kong Academy of Ice Hockey, Air Canada, more than 3,500 students from Hong Kong and Mainland China participated in this summer camp since 2010. The summer camp also provides opportunity for the English teacher trainees from Sichuan to observe how the Canadian teachers conducted the lessons in a classroom environment.

Canada

Canada is a safe and beautiful country with a multi-cultural environment. Vancouver, a city in British Columbia, is consistently placed in the top rank of the best places to live in the world. Since 2011, the association organized many summer camps in collaboration with school institutes including Coquitlam School District, Thompson Rivers University, Bodwell High School, Okanagan School District #23 in the Province of BC. The highlights of summer camps include:

  1. Providing English learning environments with topics on Canadian history, environmental protection, multi-culture

  2. Regular courses offered by the organizing school, which enables cultural exchanges between students worldwide

  3. Arranging students to live with a homestay family in a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment, which helps them totally immerse into the Canadian culture and daily life.

  4. Training students with leadership, communication, organizational skills through classroom and outdoor activities

  5. Small class teaching that encourages communication between teachers and students
